Healthy Breakfasts for Rushed Mornings

So many of us live busy lives. We want to take advantage of every minute of sleep we can get! So when it comes to breakfast, we don't always have a ton of time to make healthy meals between jumping out of bed, brushing out teeth and running out the door. I'm Here to tell you there is always a solution to starting your day out right, with a boost if nutrients. 

Eating breakfast is key to maintaining your energy throughout the day, preventing cravings later in the day, and preventing over eating. It is the best way to give your body lots of nutrients first thing in the morning to ensure you can function at your best all day long. 

Here are some healthy breakfast options for people who often find themselves in a hurry in the morning: 

1. Make Ahead Smoothie Packets

I always leave ziplock bags filled with smoothie ingredients in the freezer. This way there is no prep in the morning! Add your favourite ingredients into a bag, leave it in the freezer, then in the morning dump it in the blender with your choice of liquid and protein powder. Easy! 

Try filling a ziplock bag with: 1/2 a banana, handful spinach, 1/2 cup strawberries, and 1/4 an avocado. 


2. Overnight Oats

This is a great option to throw in a jar the night before for easy grab-and-go the next morning. You can make them the night before, leave it in the fridge, forget about it, and have a creamy and nutritious breakfast ready the next morning!
